Katie Buchanan-Bjarke, LEED AP, NCIDQ

Katie is a Design Director in Gensler’s San Francisco office and Professional Services Leader for Gensler’s Northwest region. A licensed interior designer and LEED accredited professional, she has over 23 years of experience designing environments for law, financial, consulting, and consumer goods clients. Katie started her career in Chicago at a corporate interiors firm and joined Gensler’s Los Angeles office in 2002. Her varied experience in conceptual design strategy, graphic implementation, furniture and finish selection, technical skills, and spacial planning bring a diverse approach to projects. She develops dedicated partnerships with clients and uses her knowledge of their businesses to anticipate and address many complex needs. Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Environmental Design from Illinois State University.
