Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston

Gensler created a vision to revitalize the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC campus, a 50-year-old, 200,000-square-foot facility, through a master plan that encompasses both renovations and an expansion. The reimagined recreational campus includes two new outdoor pools with amenities and a fitness center with locker rooms, in addition to a dining space, an indoor lap pool, an indoor playroom, and multi-purpose rooms. Security, connectivity, and accessibility were key design drivers in creating an important community destination that offers an exceptional visitor experience. Gensler’s thoughtful and inspirational approach to the Houston campus master plan has generated significant interest in the JCC.
